VICTORIA, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) — During the 18th annual National Adult Education Honor Society Induction Ceremony on Oct. 15, Victoria College honoured 20 students. The event was held in the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts at VC.
The pupils were nominated by an instructor or a member of the staff. The students who would win the prize were then chosen by a selection committee. They were praised for their regular attendance, pleasant demeanour, and strong work ethic.
Each student received a gold, black, and white lapel pin from the National Adult Education Honor Society. They were also given a letter of reference that they could use to apply for jobs or promotions. Students were given a letter of reference for financial aid, which they may use to seek for financing for future study.
Guest speakers for the event were Tracy Morgan, co-owner of Comfort Keepers in Victoria, and a graduate student of adult education. They praised the youngsters for having faith in themselves
