Activists said they pranked the state's largest anti-abortion organization's website in order to protest Texas' new abortion law.
On TikTok, a developer going by the name Sean Black claimed to have developed software that generated fake reports for the prolifewhistleblower.com website. After the site tried to ban him, the developer released a shortcut that allowed anybody with an iPhone or iPad to instantly file a fake complaint using a randomly generated Texas ZIP code.
As of Thursday afternoon, more than 7,200 people had clicked on his script and more than 8,450 people had clicked on the shortcut, according to data from Linktree, a service that helps people manage their website content, according to the developer, who declined to give his real name for fear of retaliation. The shortcut has already been covered by Vice.
