DOVER - Dover, have a wonderful New Year! The DPL is here to help you forget about 2021 and focus on your goals for 2022. Do you want to change things up in the kitchen? Check out our virtual Cookbook Club and our culinary area! Are you starting a new craft project or cleaning up your old cassettes and CDs? Explore our Makerspace's data conversion machinery and tools! Looking for some nice books, movies, comics, and other entertainment to get you through the winter? You may be certain that we've got your back. Let's get this new year started together.

Children's activities
Monday, January 10 and Thursday, January 13 at 10 a.m., Beyond Books: A Preschool Discover Program (In-Person). Beyond Books is aimed towards youngsters aged three to five years old. Each session will be devoted to a different topic. Sign up for the Monday series to learn about science and the Thursday series to learn about arts and crafts. We'll start with reading, then move on to hands-on activities to go deeper into these themes.

Monday, January 10 at 4 p.m., Big Kid Storytime (In-Person). Join us for a storytime with more in-depth, difficult picture books for kids in grades K-2.

Come and Have Fun! Tuesday, January 11 at 10 a.m. (In-Person). Families are welcome to join us for a period of open play. Come have some fun with your kids and meet some new people.

Wednesday, Jan. 12 at 10 a.m., Matter of Fact Book Club (In-Person or Virtual). Hello, history aficionados and lifetime students! The Matter of Fact Book Club focuses on nonfiction books that include topics such as history, science, essays, and biography. We meet in the Lecture Hall on the second Wednesday of each month from 10 to 11 a.m. We're reading Sarah Lohman's Eight Flavors this month.
